Dennis Moran is an artist who lives in Scenery Hill, Pennsylvania. After a 45 year career as a graphic designer, Dennis has returned to his roots as an artist. 

Dennis was a graphic designer from 1968 to 2012, working in various design firms in Pittsburgh, PA. where he was a founder of three successful firms where he was Principal and Creative Director. After retirement in 2012 he has been working as an artist, primarily drawing and printmaking.

His professional design work has won national awards from: the American Institute of Graphic Arts, The New York and Chicago Art Directors Clubs, The Type Directors Club, The Mead Annual Report Show, Print Magazine, The ADDY Awards, Communication Arts Magazine, The American Graphic Design Awards Shows and others.

In 2010 he was awarded the Fellow Award from AIGA, The Professional Association for Design. The AIGA Fellows program recognizes designers who have made a significant contribution to raising the standards of excellence in practice and conduct within their local or regional design community and Chapter.

As a Founder and Creative Director of Adam, Filippo & Moran Design Consultants, he created and managed design strategy for clients corporate clients across the United States.

Dennis taught at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh as an Adjunct Associate Professor of Design from 1989 through 1995. He was also a guest lecturer at West Virginia University, and Robert Morris University.

Up until 2012 Dennis was a Principal and Creative Director of Dennis Moran Design, working on brand identity and strategic design counsel for corporate, non-profit and educational clients across the United States.

He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Graphic Design, and from The Ivy School of Professional Art with a Diploma in Visual Arts.
